The Canine Tutor
Amy Spence Gutmann offers one-on-one private training for those who might have specific issues with their dog, or their schedule does not allow for group classes, or who want to train in a different location like home, park, etc. The sessions are arranged around the owner’s schedule. Online Video Private Training – Example
Personalized live video training consultations via Zoom or FaceTime video apps with Amy Gutmann. There are many topics that a dog owner has that can be addressed via online video conferencing: housetraining, management, puppy basics, obedience, behavior issues, etc. Online video consultations are prepaid at the rate of $50/half hour or $100/hour: training time determined prior to session. $125/hr includes written emailed training notes with handouts and videos. In Person Private Training
Personalized training consultations in person at owner’s home or on location. There are many topics that can be addressed: housetraining, management, puppy basics, obedience, behavior issues, leash manners, reliable recall, etc. Consultations are currently where all parties are wearing masks and outdoors socially distant. Typical lesson is 1 to 1.5 hour and based on rate of $150/hour + possible distance fee (determined prior to session). Please complete and online Private Tutoring Questionnaire prior to your session. The training fee includes an emailed follow up training summary and pertinent handouts and videos. Should client prefer just in-person training and no follow up training notes, fee is $100/hr. Puppy Training Starter Program
This is a customized board and train program for you puppy. We design a program which combines training desires of the owner and essential puppy foundation training: obedience, behavior, impulse control, housetraining and more. The board and train is done in the trainer’s home, not a kennel. This way the puppy learns residential life from the very beginning.
