Rochelle will first demonstrate and explain the intricacies of Golden Grooming and then attendees will work on their own Goldens. Rochelle will be available afterwards as well for specific questions and help. You can either bring your Golden or Audit, i.e. listen and observe/help others.
Bring a grooming table if you have one, plus any grooming tools.

This workshop is designed for owners/handlers who are showing their purebred dog at AKC point shows. It is intended to give you an overview of many aspects of showing your dog from the perspective of an owner – handler. All breeds are welcome to attend! This is a hands on workshop for you and your dog. Come prepared to learn and have fun!
We will begin with “Getting Started”. This class will prepare you to learn how to show your dog in the conformation show ring. This will be a basic overview on how to stack and gait your dog. You will learn basic ring patterns and ring etiquette. We will then take an in depth look at how to make your dog look its best in the ring and what to do if you encounter difficult ring situations. You will also learn how to present your dog to bring out its best attributes and downplay the faults. A variety of handouts will provided.
